We are not giving legal advice yet. We expect to start in mid to late November 2026 after we have finalised insurance and registration matters. Until then, our free guides are open to everyone. The content of this website may be subject to further review and changes.

What we help with

Choose your problem to see what you need to know, how we can help, and our free guides. Each guide shows whether it covers the whole of Australia or Victoria only. When we first open, we will focus on family law, family violence and urgent matters. If your problem is not listed, contact us anyway and we will tell you who can help.

What we cannot help with

We are a small, free service, so there are some things we cannot do. We cannot:

  • Help in an emergency. We are not an emergency service. If you are in danger now, call 000.
  • Help both people in the same dispute, or help you if we already help the other person.
  • Give immigration advice to people who can afford a private lawyer or registered migration agent.
  • Help with problems under the law of another state or territory, except national laws such as family law. We will point you to help where you live.
  • Represent you in court in every case. We do this only when we have capacity.
  • Help with problems outside Australia, or under the law of another country.
  • Help with business, company or commercial disputes.
  • Help with wills and estates, or buying and selling property.

If your problem is not listed here, contact us anyway. If we cannot help, we will tell you who can.
